Abstract
In this paper the author aims to add an essential element to what is already known about the building of effective teams; to focus on how a team can foster a meeting of minds, where members build on the diversity of their collective knowledge, skills and experience within a supportive group environment; and to consider how an effective team structure can evolve from the combined thinking efforts of all the staff in the school.
