Abstract
This paper explores three practices to shape the future of Australia's schools: adaptive leadership, responsive teaching and generative assessment. Collaboration from stakeholders in the education system requires both ‘top-down’ guidance from policy-makers, a ‘bottom-up’ push from teachers and school leaders to challenge existing structures, and extending power to students as agents in their learning. By working together, education in Australia can be delivered to build equity, innovation and collaboration.
