Abstract

The South Australian Institute of Educational Research's Keeves Lecture held on 3 May 2022. After a welcome from Dr Katherine Dix, a presentation about the Keeves Collection of the Cunningham Library of the Australian Council for Educational Research is made by Katie McDowell and Pru Mitchell. The Lecture begins at the 20min mark of the video. It is entitled Parental support and pre-school: Do they matter for primary students' reading performance? Evidence from six ASEAN countries, and is presented by Dr Petra Lietz, Kashfee Ahmed and Angela Qin. This research used Willms prosperity index and a SEA-PLM dataset from assessment in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines and Viet Nam in 2019, with data analysis using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM).
