Abstract
It can sometimes seem that teaching pronunciation is an uphill battle. Learners who have great difficulty making themselves understood often appear not to improve, despite explicit instruction. This can be both highly demotivating for the student, and detrimental to their speaking assessment results. Some form of direct pronunciation intervention program can be an effective way of addressing their needs.
