Abstract
The International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement recently carried out a civic education study. This article reports on the results from the Australian national study. It looks at Australian students' civic knowledge in an international context, Australian students' civic engagement, Australian students' civic attitudes and other concepts and future directions for civics and citizenship education in Australia.
