Abstract
In this chapter, John Cresswell emphasises that dissemination and reporting are an essential part of the assessment process to provide the information necessary for policymakers to make informed decisions that bring about improved student learning outcomes in their countries. He also points out many ways of reporting on an assessment which go beyond a detailed written report of the results. Publication of assessment frameworks, sample items and questionnaires are shown to provide valuable information about assessments as is the provision of a high-quality database that can be used for further analyses to enable evidence-based decision-making by education practitioners and policymakers.
