Abstract
This paper describes 'Conversations About Civics', the third phase of a project designed to conduct in-depth interviews with teachers in a national sample of schools to review the implementation of the rest of the program. How they adopted and adapted transformed Commonwealth and state or territory policy texts for civics education and how they turned them into meaningful experiences for students is examined. The paper discusses other stages of the project.
