Abstract
The findings of the cross national IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) Civic Education study have profound implications for policy, practice and research. In this article, the author discusses teachers' views on civic education issues and participation in decision-making as civic education. What was learnt from the study is discussed.
