Abstract
This is a Literature Review developed by a team of researchers at ACER UK, for the International Baccalaureate Organisation on Teacher Assessment Literacy.
In the current project we are focusing on the development of an assessment literacy (hereafter AL) and design competency framework. The framework will be used to inform approaches to IB programmes and professional learning resources for teachers.
In order to inform the development of the framework, this review has been undertaken in parallel with a review of references to AL in IB guides and learning opportunities that support teachers in their professional practice. The purpose of this review has been to undertake an in-depth search of academic and grey literature in order to find answer to the following key research question and its sub-components: What is the state of the field for teacher assessment literacy and design development?
