Assessing mathematical creativity: How far can assessment nurture mathematical creativity?

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Schools are now responsible for preparing students for a rapidly changing complex world. As Lonsdale & Anderson rightly point out in their 2012 study, along with learning of domain knowledge, students are expected to be information and media literate, critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, communicators, and team players. Schools are driving their efforts towards tailoring education that helps students to remain competitive in an ever-changing and precarious job market. Assessments help to gather evidence about the success of such efforts and measure if school education supports learning.
