Abstract

The report provides a guide to the teacher education context, structure, and quality assurance arrangements in the 17 countries that participated in the IEA Teacher Education and Development Study in Mathematics (TEDS-M). The 17 countries in the study were Botswana, Canada (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Québec, and Ontario),Chile, Chinese Taipei, Georgia, Germany, Malaysia, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Russian Federation, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United States.
