Research interests
Susmita Patnaik, Dip ECEC, BA (Education Hons), MA, Grad Cert (Ed. Research), PhD, is a Research Fellow in the Effective Practice in Education program at ACER. Susmita is well-versed in mixed-methods research, policy analysis, and quality assurance frameworks that shape early childhood education in Australia, including the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). She recently contributed to national research investigating the impact of proposed changes to the National Quality Standard (NQS) and has contributed to the development of the POM professional practice guide and delivery of workshops to teachers and educators. Susmita is also a qualified early childhood practitioner with experience in long day care across a range of age groups.
