Sima Rodrigues commenced work at ACER in 2007 and is now a Research Fellow in the Surveys and International Assessments team. Sima is a data professional focusing on both data handling and data analysis, with experience across multiple education research projects, including TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study), PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study), PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and TALIS (Teaching and Learning International Survey), as well as smaller projects such as ELSA and CHooseMaths. Sima is able to competently use common data handling software (such as the IEA’s WinW3S and Data Management Expert) and is confident in the use of SPSS, Excel and Access and online survey developing tools, like LimeSurvey and PeoplePulse. She is proficient in the secondary analysis of complex, large-scale datasets.
