Pru's research interests reach across early childhood education, teacher professional learning, educational metadata and open education resources. She has teaching and librarianship experience across K-12 schools, TAFE and Higher Education, and spent a decade managing national online information services. Since joining ACER in 2014 Pru has led projects on early years assessment, produced literature reviews and environmental scans on behalf of national organisations, and undertaken consultancy work related to educational metadata and digitisation of historical Australian educational publications.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Library and Information Association and an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University. Her professional affiliations include the Australian Library and Information Association, the School Library Association of South Australia and Wikimedia Australia.
