Dr Nathanael Reinertsen is an educational assessment developer, analyst and researcher. He currently works in assessment development at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), having returned after four years in the OECD’s Directorate for Education and Skills. He has experience in all facets of educational assessment: from classroom assessment through to coordinating international large-scale assessments. He has substantial experience in developing and managing the development of literacy and writing assessments, but has also delivered professional learning on Rasch measurement, item and test development, and general assessment principles. At the OECD he also provided technical assistance to countries developing national assessment frameworks and refining their national assessments.
