About

Dr Naoki Ikeda is a Research Fellow (Psychometrics) at the Australian Council for Educational Research, where he undertakes quantitative analyses focusing on school-level assessments and high-stakes professional credentialing examinations.

 

His expertise is in language assessment and test score validation, which he pursued in his PhD research (2013-2017) at The University of Melbourne. He has many years of academic and professional engagement with educational research and assessment. He served as a project manager for several assessment-related projects at the Japan Institute for Educational Measurement (2010-2012), and as a data analyst at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. His expertise in data analysis and methodological insights in assessment have also been recognised at Faculty of Ars, The University of Melbourne, where he taught quantitative methods to the graduate students (2018-2021).
