Kate is a Senior Research Fellow working within the Implementation and Reporting Program at the Australian Council for Educational Research. Her areas of specialisation include field operations and data management for large-scale surveys, as well as conceptualising and implementing assessments to measure a wide variety of student learning outcomes, both in Australia and abroad.
In Australia, Kate has led field operations for all national sample assessments that sit within the National Assessment Program. Her international work extends to both in-country and Australia-based management of numerous large scale assessments including PISA, TIMSS, EMSA, UAE-NAP, English Impact, PILNA, IELS, SEA-PLM and SANA over the last 10 years. This work has involved providing high-level advice to many educational systems and jurisdictions across the globe in the UAE, South Africa, various countries in the Pacific and South-East Asia and the British Council in the UK.
