Catharine Parkes

Catharine is an experienced test developer and manager with expertise in developing assessments that meet stated purposes. She has worked on both large and small scale assessments in tests offered in both online and paper-based modes.

In her previous roles, Catharine has contributed to the development of onscreen assessments and headed up the Assessment Research team at the Standards and Testing Agency. She has worked on developing National Curriculum Tests for England for over 15 years. Catharine is currently working with the Nursery and Midwifery Council (NMC) on the Test of Competence and, internationally, to support reporting against sustainable development goals.
