Bethany is a Research Fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), where she has worked since 2016. Bethany has worked in the Education Policy and Practice Program, the International Surveys Program, Australia and the Research Division, United Kingdom.
Bethany has extensive experience working on education development projects aimed to improve systems and learning across all grade levels. Her projects include:

- Learning through Play at School (Project Coordinator & UK Liaison)
- Australia Awards Tracer Facility Bangladesh Case Study (Researcher)
- Afghanistan National Assessment Framework (Formative Assessment Expert)
- Overcoming Disadvantage in Early Childhood (Project Coordinator)
Through her Master of Philosophy in Education (Globalisation and International Development) at the University of Cambridge, Bethany has developed specialist research experience in Environmental Education and Climate Change Education.
Before joining ACER, Bethany worked as a Primary and Secondary classroom teacher.
