    Dr Ammar Aldaoud is a Research Fellow in the assessment and reporting program at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Prior to joining ACER in 2020, Dr Aldaoud held roles in the fields of Engineering, Physics and Education. He has been an electronic design engineer creating products for consumer markets, a learning specialist developing innovative online maths content, and a secondary mathematics teacher. Dr Aldaoud remains an honorary research fellow in the School of Physics at the University of Melbourne.
