About
Dr Adeola Monty is a Research Fellow in the Education and Development program at ACER. She has ten years’ experience in international development for organisations such as UNICEF, the Australian Government and the private sector. Adeola's area of expertise are early childhood education, teacher professional learning and evaluation.
Adeola has worked in a number of countries throughout Asia, Africa and the Pacific including as the research manager for the UNICEF Philippines Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Longitudinal Study, a researcher for the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao and an Adviser for the Pacific Islands Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (PILNA) which covers 13 Pacific Island Countries.
Adeola's PhD examined the pedagogic practices used by teacher's in the Philippines to improve cognitive achievement in early childhood education settings.
